Cadenza / Using Cadenza

Terms of Service

Practical information about using Cadenza, followed by the terms that still need to be settled.

Draft reviewed · No effective date assigned

1. About these terms

This is a draft description of the proposed terms for using Cadenza, a classical music library management application. It has no effective date and is not presented as a final agreement. Questions can be sent to cadenzaclassicalmusic@gmail.com.

Confirmation needed: the legal service provider, address, applicable law, intended territories, eligibility and final acceptance process.

2. Using Cadenza

Cadenza provides tools for organising classical music, rating recordings, keeping notes and a listening journal, saving Pins and exploring related information. Features depend on platform, account access, network availability and the services enabled in the application.

The core Android library can operate locally without an account. The web application uses cloud data. Catalogue lookups, page reading, media and discovery may need a network connection and external services.

3. Your account

Where an account is used, keep your credentials secure and use an email address you can access. Contact support if you believe your account has been compromised. Do not share passwords or session credentials in support messages.

Signing out, cancelling sync, removing a device library and deleting an account are different actions. See account deletion information for the implemented deletion path and the effect on local copies.

4. Your library and saved material

Your notes, ratings and collections are personal library content. Saving a link as a Pin does not give you rights to the linked page, artwork, recording, video or podcast. Respect the rights of creators and publishers and use content you are entitled to upload or share.

Confirmation needed: final intellectual-property wording, any limited permission needed to store and process user content, and a rights-holder reporting process. This draft does not assign ownership of user content to Cadenza.

5. Responsible use

Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s account or private library, interfere with security or service availability, or upload unlawful material. Do not use automated requests to bypass access controls or service limits.

Confirmation needed: any enforcement, suspension or termination process and its notice and appeal arrangements.

6. Catalogue information and external services

Catalogue records, matching suggestions, linked pages and external media may be incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable or changed by their source. Review imported details before relying on them. Links and search results do not establish an endorsement of a publisher or recording.

External services control their own content, access requirements and terms. Cadenza is a library and discovery application; a saved streaming link is not a licence to the music or a subscription to the linked service.

7. Forte and subscriptions

Forte is associated with cloud backup, device sync and enhanced Encore discovery. The current entitlement controls are implemented, but a completed billing system was not found in the reviewed application. This website does not offer checkout or paid subscription purchases.

Turning off discovery is different from cancelling the entitlement. Current in-app cancellation ends access to sync and discovery without immediately deleting the library.

Confirmation needed before paid plans launch: prices, currency, taxes, billing provider, renewal rules, cancellation timing, refunds and any statutory cancellation rights. No billing or renewal obligation is created by this draft.

8. Backups, availability and changes

Library export and restore tools are implemented. Keep your own backup before deleting an account or making changes you may need to reverse. A library export may omit separate cloud account data, including search preferences.

Local storage and online services can become unavailable. This draft makes no uptime or recovery commitment. Any final terms about changes to the service, warranties or liability must be confirmed and must respect applicable consumer rights.

9. Privacy and contact

Read the draft Privacy Policy for the implementation-based account of data handling and its unresolved details. For support or a question about these terms, contact cadenzaclassicalmusic@gmail.com.

Confirmation needed: final dispute resolution, governing law, liability terms, change notifications and an effective date. These points require a separate legal decision; they cannot be inferred from the code.
